[Azar] 장소의 전치사

1. 장소의 전치사는 두 종류가 있다. 하나는 장소(location)를 나타내는 것이고, 다른 하나는 방향(direction)을 나타내는 것이다. 장소의 전치사는 상황이나 상태를 나타내는 동사와 쓰이며, 방향의 전치사는 동작을 나타내는 동사와 쓰인다.
   
   
2. 장소를 나타내는 대표적 전치사인 at, in, on은 다음과 같은 기준으로 분류할 수 있다.
   
   지점(point): at은 다음에 오는 명사는 다른 사물과의 관계를 나타내는 지점이다. 
   표면(surface): on은 다음의 명사 위에 사물이 있다는 것을 나타낸다.
   지역(area): in은 다음에 오는 명사 안에 사물이 있다는 것을 나타낸다.
   
   
   1) My car is at the house.
   2) There is a new roof on the house.
   3) The house is in Tippecanoe county.
   4) There are five rooms in the house, which has a lovely fireplace in the living room.
3. at은 비교적 공간의 개념이 없기 때문에 다양한 의미로 쓰인다.
