1. because가 예견된 결과를 나타내는 반면, even though는 예상치 못한 결과를 나타낸다.
   
   Becuase I wasn't tired, I didn't go to bed.
   Even though I wasn't tired, I went to bed.
   
   
2. although, though도 양보를 나타낸다.
   
   Although it was cold, I went swimming.
   Though it was cold, I went swimming.
   
   
3. 양보를 나타내는 부사
   
   It was cold. Nevertheless, I went swimming.
   It was cold. Nonetheless, I went swimming.
   It was cold, However, I still went swimming.
   
   
4. whereas와 while은 대조를 나타낸다.
   
   Mary is rich, whereas John is poor.
   Mary is rich, while John is poor.
   
   
5. however는 부사로서 대조를 나타낸다.
   
   Mary is rich; however, John is poor.
