[Azar] 동명사와 부정사를 취하는 동사

1. 어떤 동사는 부정사와 동명사를 모두 취한다. 이 때 부정사를 취하는 경우와 동명사를 취하는 경우에 의미가 다른 것과 같은 것이 있다.
   
   
2. 의미가 동일한 동사
   begin, like, hate, start, love, can't stand, continue, prefer, can't bear
   
   It began to rain.
   It began raining.
   
   동사가 진행형일 때는 대개 부정사를 쓴다.
   
   It was beginning to rain.
   
   
   
3. 의미가 다른 경우
   remember, regret, forget, try
   
   Judy always remembers to lock the door.(부정사는 미래의 사건을 기억)
   I remember seeing the Alps for the first time.(동명사는 과거의 사건을 기억)
   
   Sam often forgets to lock the door.(미래의 일)
   I'll never forget seeing the Alps for the first time.(과거의 일)
   
   I regret to tell you that you failed the test.(말하려는 내용이 좋지 않을 때)
   I regret lending him some money. (과거의 일에 대해 후회)
   
   I'm trying to learn English.(노력하다)
   I tried opening the window, but that didn't help.(시도하다)
